Over the past year, Wolfpaw has been hyper-focused on growing our footprint in Edmonton and improving local service delivery for the winter city that is our home. We are pleased to announce that in Q2 2023, we are further expanding that service delivery to include a fully redundant, diverse-path dark fibre ring stretching across the city between 3 distinct data centres. This fibre ring will be capable of a combined 2.4 Tbps of available bandwidth at the lowest possible latency.
Wolfpaw maintains an owned and operated data centre in the downtown core as well as dedicated, access restricted suites in both local Rogers Communications data centres. Additionally, we have a point-of-presence in the Bell Supernet CO, which is an included part of our fibre ring.
Each data centre is concurrently maintainable and as the largest carrier-neutral data centre operator in Edmonton all of your options are open. You can use any telecom provider in any of our data centres, but since we also buy in bulk from all locally available transit vendors, we’re confident that we can beat their price on the same or better service.
What does this mean to your organization? It means that you can have the absolute best in disaster resilience available locally as even a physical fibre cut is not enough to take you offline. It means that you will have the ability to transmit an immense amount of data at your leisure between facilities. It means that your IT department can focus on the day to day organizational needs, rather than worry about “what if” scenarios with hosting mission critical assets in your office, or even a single outside data centre.
All you need to do is give us a call and we’ll take you on a tour.
